The Challenge

A global product launch needed to land instantly with a live audience of 3,000.

Hexagon was preparing to launch OnCall, a new suite of public safety products, at a major industry event in Las Vegas. The opening moment of the CEO’s keynote needed to set the tone — introducing the concept behind OnCall in a way that felt confident, modern and emotionally engaging.

The brief was not to explain the technology, but to sell the idea behind it. The film had to communicate speed, pressure and collaboration in a world where incidents unfold in seconds — and where effective response depends on seamless coordination. It also needed to work on an ultra-wide, 20-metre screen, while being flexible enough to live on beyond the event.

The Approach

We told a cinematic story that captured urgency, without ever showing the product.

With just five weeks to deliver, we worked quickly to define a clear creative direction. We proposed three cinematic concepts, each built around a single, focused narrative and the strapline “It all happens so fast” — reflecting both the speed of incidents and the pace required to respond effectively.

The chosen approach centred on the immediate aftermath of a car accident involving a mother and child. The incident itself is never shown; instead, the story unfolds through sound and reaction, focusing on the emergency services and dispatcher working together under pressure. This allowed the film to convey urgency and coordination without becoming explicit or instructional.

Although the setting appears unmistakably American, the entire film was shot over two days at an air base near Liverpool and in our Huddersfield studio. Every detail — from locations and props to casting and wardrobe — was carefully managed in close collaboration with Hexagon to ensure authenticity for a US audience.

The film was shot in 4K and designed specifically for the ultra-wide event screen, while also allowing for efficient reformatting across standard video outputs and social channels. Alongside the film, we provided stills photography to support the wider launch campaign and event materials.

The Outcome

The film set the tone for the launch and gave OnCall a clear, compelling identity.

Premiering as the opening moment of the CEO’s keynote, the film immediately engaged the live audience and established the core idea behind OnCall — speed, collaboration and clarity in critical moments.

Beyond the event, the film continued to work as a launch asset across digital and social platforms, supported by a suite of stills captured during production. The result was a clear, confident introduction to the OnCall suite that prioritised concept and emotion, while giving Hexagon a flexible asset built to perform across channels.

Paradigm are personal, professional, flexible and with the ability to translate needs into a really positive end result.
