The Challenge
Long guidance risked slowing adoption.
LNER was introducing a wide range of new technology for colleagues, including new systems, updated platforms and the rollout of iPhone XR devices across the business. Colleagues needed to understand how to use each application confidently in order to deliver their role and maintain high standards of customer service.
Existing guidance was largely made up of lengthy, text-heavy documents — in some cases more than 20 pages long — which risked disengaging colleagues and slowing adoption of the new tools.

The Approach
Complexity made simple.
We worked with LNER to transform the existing documentation into a series of clear, engaging training films. Our scriptwriter distilled complex written content into concise, viewer-friendly scripts, designed to communicate only what colleagues needed to know, without overwhelming them.
Each film featured a professional presenter delivering scripted pieces to camera from our in-house studio, supported by on-brand motion graphics and 3D animation to visually demonstrate how each application worked in practice.
Alongside the training content, we also produced an overview animation to introduce the Platform 365 programme, plus a launch film to explain how colleagues could collect their new iPhone and access set-up support.

The Outcome
Confident use at scale.
We delivered a suite of 14 short training films, ranging from 60 seconds to four minutes, giving LNER a flexible, scalable training resource that could be rolled out consistently across the organisation.
The content enabled colleagues to quickly get up to speed with new systems and devices, supporting faster adoption of Platform 365 and helping teams feel confident using technology as part of their everyday role.
